Talking with friends and associates is always a lot of fun. That’s why most people are more conversationally comfortable with friends instead of strangers. Friends are easier to talk with because “friends” understand each other’s verbal syntax. When you understand how to effectively use verbal syntax you can create conversations that others will find practically irresistible.
What is syntax? A formal definition is “the study of the rules for the formation of grammatical sentences in a language” For our purposes, we need to understand syntax as it relates to “dialect” officially defined as a regional variety of language distinguished by features of vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation from other regional varieties and constituting together with them a single language; and “phraseology” defined as “manner or means of expressing oneself”
